Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SWIB event platform at getSWIB.com and related domains (swib.me, my.sowhenitbe.com), operated by MasonView LLC, doing business as SWIB ("SWIB", "we", "us"). By creating an account, RSVPing to an event, purchasing a ticket, or opting in to SMS or email reminders, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

SWIB lets hosts publish event pages and lets guests RSVP, check in, purchase tickets and merch, and receive reminders. SWIB provides the software only; the host is responsible for the content, safety, and execution of each event.

2. Account & conduct

You must be at least 13 years old to use SWIB. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. You agree not to use SWIB to send unlawful, harassing, deceptive, or infringing content, or to reverse-engineer or interfere with the service.

3. Tickets, payments, and refunds

Ticket and merch payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are at the discretion of the event host unless a transaction is clearly fraudulent. Chargebacks should be pursued directly with the host first.

4. SMS Program Terms (SWIB Event Reminders)

The following terms apply specifically to the SWIB Event Reminders SMS program. They are provided to comply with Twilio, CTIA, and US carrier requirements.

Program name: SWIB Event Reminders

Program operator: MasonView LLC, doing business as SWIB

Program description: When you click "Remind me" on a SWIB event page and enter your mobile number, SWIB sends you up to five transactional text reminders tied to that specific event — selected from the options 1 week, 1 day, 2 hours, 1 hour, 15 minutes before, or at start. SWIB also uses SMS to deliver one-time passcodes when you sign in by phone.

Message frequency: Varies. You receive only the reminder intervals you personally selected for each event you opted into (maximum 5 messages per event), plus one confirmation text at the time you opt in. Average subscribers receive 2–5 messages per month. There are no promotional or marketing messages.

Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's rates apply to each message you receive; SWIB does not charge you for SMS.

Supported carriers: All major US carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, and most MVNOs. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opt-in method: You opt in by (a) visiting a public SWIB event page at https://swib.me/<event-slug> (for example swib.me/swib-demo-event), clicking the "Remind me" button, selecting "Text", entering your US mobile number, choosing your reminder times, and clicking "Text me reminders"; or (b) by requesting a sign-in passcode on https://getswib.com/signin. You may also opt in to an existing subscription by replying START, YES, or UNSTOP after previously opting out.

Opt-out instructions — STOP to cancel:  Reply STOP to any SWIB message at any time to unsubscribe from all SWIB SMS. You will receive one final confirmation text and no further messages. You can also click the "Stop" link included in every SWIB reminder.

Privacy: SWIB does not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS opt-in data with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. See the Privacy Policy for details.

5. Email communications

If you opt in to email reminders or magic-link sign-in, SWIB will send you event-related transactional email. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe. SWIB does not send bulk marketing email.

6. Intellectual property

The SWIB name, logo, and site design are the property of SWIB. Event content (titles, descriptions, images) belongs to the host who created it and is published by them under a license sufficient for SWIB to display it to attendees.

7. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

SWIB is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that every SMS or email will be delivered — carriers, spam filters, and network outages occasionally interfere. To the maximum extent allowed by law, SWIB's total liability to you for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid SWIB in the 12 months preceding the claim or US $50.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of SWIB after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
